Oduman Infinity Clear/Gold

The Oduman Infinity in this version combines a gold-coloured body with a clear glass base. Oduman lists it under article number INF-02-CLEAR. The hookah is 45 centimeters tall, 20 centimeters wide and deep, and weighs 3.5 kilos.

Clear glass makes the metal the eye-catcher

Precisely because the base carries no colour of its own, the gold is all you see: the tray, the stem, the round block and the mouthpiece. With a white or black base the glass shares that attention; here it does not. If you want the gold to speak without a busy combination, this version is the one.

Gold colour, not gold

Worth knowing: the gold tint comes from a titanium coating over stainless steel, so it is not a precious metal. That is an advantage rather than a limitation. A coating bonds to the steel instead of sitting on top of it the way lacquer does, which means it does not flake off around the threading you unscrew every session.

The coal spot and the brackets

A spot is cut into the tray for a burning coal. Put it there while you turn the bowl and the underside keeps getting air, so the coal does not go out. The stem carries a bracket to hang the mouthpiece in, so the white hose does not lie on the table between two draws.
