Oduman Infinity Black/Bronze

The Oduman Infinity in this version sets a black glass base under a bronze-coloured body. Oduman lists it under article number INF-03-BLACK. It comes to 45 centimeters tall at 20 centimeters wide and deep, and weighs 3.5 kilos. That makes it a mid-sized hookah that fits on a table without having to be put away.

The block halfway up the stem

What makes the Infinity recognisable is the round block the stem runs through, with the brand name and the word INFINITY engraved into it. The hose port sits on it, and from there the smoke is carried upward toward the tray instead of straight down. There is one port, so a second hose does not fit.

Bronze is a coating over steel

Oduman states for this series that the metal parts are stainless steel with a titanium coating over them. So the bronze colour is not a layer of lacquer that can flake off the threading, and the steel underneath does not rust from the water in the base. The black base is coloured throughout, with a narrow clear strip that lets you see the water level.

The coal spot on the tray

The tray holds a separate spot where you set a burning coal while you move or refill the bowl. Because the underside keeps getting air there, the coal does not go out and you never have to relight it. The stem also carries a bracket that the mouthpiece fits into.
