Two, three or four hoses
A hookah with two hoses is handy for couples and small groups, a model with four hoses for a table full of people. Each hose has its own port on the stem.
Note: ports, not always hoses
The number of hoses in the name refers to the ports on the stem. How many hoses are in the box differs per model and is in the product description. Extra hoses are in the shisha hoses and the washable hoses.
Smoking alone with a hookah for four
That works. Seal the ports you do not use properly, or the hookah draws false air and the draw gets weak. Loose seals are in the hookah grommets.
Sharing hygienically
Using the hookah with more people? Give everyone their own mouth tip. Hygienic mouth tips slide over the mouthpiece of the hose. How many hookahs, hoses and coals you need for an evening with friends is explained in organizing a shisha night.
In every size
Multiple hoses are not only found on large hookahs. You find them on compact models with two ports and on large hookahs with four. Most are from Amy Deluxe, plus DUM and Aladin. How to choose the size is explained in which hookah size suits you.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a hookah with 2 and with 4 hoses?
Only the number of ports on the stem. Choose two for couples and small groups, four for larger groups.
Are the hoses included?
That differs per model. The product description says how many hoses are in the set.
Can I close off a port?
Yes. A port you do not use is sealed with a cap or grommet, so the hookah does not draw false air.
